Solutions to the symbol-not-found error generally suggest deleting
the .ncb file and letting the program re-create it. I ended up with
several projects with that problem for which the suggestion did not
help.
I accidentally discovered that, with one of those projects open and
with one of the source files open, clicking Edit | Intellisense | List
Members worked the miracle. The miracle has limited scope - I need to
do it for each project. But only once - the magic remains intact when
I close and re-open.
