Hi,

i am using visual studio 2005 and 2008. Recently i upgraded my Class
libraries,Windows control libraries and Console application to visual studio
2008. If i start a project build in visual studio 2008 it will start build
and will finish the build also fastly, But visual studio will freeze for 1 to
2 mints. all the programs will work smoothly, only visual studio interface
will get hang. it's looks very strange problem.

After even a small project build also it get freeze, according to the
project size in the solution it will take time to release the freeing stage.

If anybody face this problem before. Please tell me how to solve this.

Regards
Raj

I'm having exactly the same problem. I've opened a big project written
in VS 2003, it consists of several libraries, Windows Forms
applications, Web services and Web applications. When I start
debugging a web application, and switch back to HTML view, I would get
VS 2008 frozen - Task Manager doesn't say it's frozen, it's GUI is
refreshed smoothly, it just doesn't respond to my keyboard and mouse.
I've checked the options, and have tried turning "auto keyboard
switching" option for HTML Designer off, and this seems to make the
problem appear less frequently, but I still do see it from time to
time. Have no clue why. I've installed VS 2008 pro, and SP1 on top of
it.
