Microsoft Visual Studio 2008
Version 9.0.30729.1 SP
Microsoft .NET Framework
Version 3.5 SP1
Installed Edition: Professional
Suddenly this morning, every time I do a build, some VS install thing starts
running. It ultimately fails as it cannot find the files it wants.
It begins with a dialog titled "Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Shell
(integrated mode) - ENU". The dialog says "Please wait while Windows
configures Miscrosoft Visual Studio 2008 Shell (Integrated mode) - ENU...".
The another dialog opens with the same title. This dialog says "The feature
you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK
to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the
installation package 'vs_shell.msi' in the box below." The box below
defaults to "c:\b15454203d20636f2690\x86\setup\".
What's going on? Is it related to the updates that were pushed this morning?
