.NET Framework - Dynamic change of homescreen's softkey

Hello,

I would like to change the softkey of my homescreen plugin. On
smartphone, this can be hardcoded in registry by setting HKCU/Software/
Microsoft/Home/Keys/112 or 113 for the left and right softkey. On i600
samsung smartphone (windows mobile 5.0), the "carousel" homescreen
plugin changes the right softkey without setting this registry key.
With Spy++, the only message received by the softkey windows is a
WM_PAINT when it is updated....

Has someone any idea to achieve this without using registry ?

Hi Jean-Christophe

AFAIK the carousel homescreen on the Samsung isn't a 'homescreen' in the
usual plugin sense of the word, but an application that sits on top of an
empty homescreen. I guess this means that they can change the softkeys in
the usual way for applications, without the homescreen code changing it
back.

Good luck with changing the behaviour in a homescreen plugin, assuming
that's what you are trying to do. I'm not sure how to do this.
