.NET Framework - VS2008(ExpressSp1)+NETMF3 crashes due to DEP

Hello,

Vista Business 32b KN (Korean) + VS2008 C# Express Edition (SP1) +
NETMF 3.0
on DELL Precision 390 QuadCore


When I try to start Debug(F5),
VS2008 crashes with DEP warning.

Should I turn DEP off for VS2008?

After that crash, VS2008 lost its WindowLayout,
but the netmf device still runs.

Great, Vista does not even allow me to turn it off for VCSExpress.exe
of DEP

i always crashes and lost the window layout..

i just restart the development enviroment,
and sometime, its hard to deploy.

In case you had not seen it, there is a Reset Window Layout button in the
Window menu of VS which may be useful for you.

Does this happen every time? Is the application successfully deployed to the
device? Did you allow the crash information to be sent to MS?

In VS you can show the Output Window and select "Micro Framework Device
Deployment" in the "Show output from:" drop down. This will provide progress
and diagnostic information about what is happening during the deployment
stage and may give a better clue what is going on.

1. About send information things.
in example if IE crashes, I always send information to make it
better.
However, when VS crashes it doesn't even ask to do that.
It justs pop up ballan tip with [VS2008 has been closed by DEP
protection blah blah.]
Even after I got that message from balloon tips, IDE keeps alive,
but it seems not working properly.


2. How frequent
I used NETMF 3.0, now it's Day 2.
It crashes again and again, but not everytime.
[Reset Window Layout] has to be used on every crash.


3. Output Window's Filter
In my case, I don't see any usual information on that log.
( I know I can select Filter to view specified logs.)
When it crashes, there are no logs left. [ I mean it, nothing
there. it's clean.]
I don't know what happened completly.
Does VS keep any logs beside that window? like external log file
or whatever keeps the history.
I really want to send it to you.

Please contact MS support to follow up on this. It seems like something is
messing up Visual Studio itself, and it will take a LOT longer to resolve
via this newsgroup.
