.NET Framework - Files to Publish Marks

Asked By bfp302q on 09-Apr-08 06:36 PM
The Files to Publish marks [blue arrows] are not removed when I publish to
the server. This only happens on one web site. Other sites on the same
server work correctly so I assume this is some problem with Expression Web
for this one site. Suggestions?

A wild guess as I've never run into this but do you have site settings
for that site set up to use hidden meta data files? It under Site ->
Site Settings and there should be a check mark for Manage the Web Site.....

Frequently the unknown status question mark is due to how the server is
configured relating to GMT offset. You should also have "use meta data"
enabled as Sid suggested.

P.S. Note that "Synchronize" is grayed out in screen shot in last message!?

Here is a screen capture attached.***Not attached...for some reason this did
not post previously with attachment...See
http://traveledlanetrailers.com/Capture.JPG instead***
As you can see the publish arrows were
not removed. "unknown status question marks" are not a problem. As you can
see "use meta data" is selected. Even dragging the files over one at a time
does not remove the arrow. The result is a long publish time as it
repeatedly moves the same files again and again.

Publishing one file at a time will not update the meta data status for the
whole site. Try publishing all of your local files, sometimes that reset the
synch process after which you can use Synch.

Nope...The screen shot shows the results after publishing the entire
site...nothing was reset...I have to resort to the manual process to avoid
long delays...
