.NET Framework - Converting FP03 Site with DWT and Themes to EW / CSS

I spent a ridiculous amount of time putting together a large site in FP03
using dynamic web templates and themes. I use link bars, too. I guess I am
about as far as one can get from CSS, although the site looks fine in both
Explorer and Firefox. Anyone know whether EW will help me with converting
the site, or will I be left to manage all the changes by hand?

Nothing will "automatically convert" your site.
However EW will definitely show you where any errors / deprecated tags might be.
You will have to go through the site page by page and run the compatibility and
accessibility checkers on each page.

Why not just continue to support it in FP?

Mainly, I want to get CSS compliant, and I want to continue to develop and
improve the site. I had been looking at Sharepoint services to convert to a
data driven site.
It's not subtle; it's very distracting. I even tried eliminating the Ineteractive Buttons EW offers and replacing them with hyperlinked text. No difference. I couldn't find anything in the url to your page or paste the source code in of the page and css et al? it is hard to help you without that info. My thoughts after completing a web site (Read-How.com) using EW. .NET Framework First let me give you some perspective of where I am coming from I am much more of what I define as a designer, and although I use FP and EW at work the majority of what I use them for is my own side business as well as personal interest sites like my church. I have used FrontPage since it came out in 96-97 and saw it as an extension of Office a creative presentation, then you could easily transfer that same kind of design talent to FrontPage and come up with a nice looking and functional website. I don't think Expression like: - Adhering closer to the standards. This is an area that always plagued me with FrontPage. I would design a cool looking page and it displayed fine in IE but look I am running on a UNIX box and wanted to use what was available in EW now to learn and try it. Besides, I am a novice at MySQL and PHP and the XML interface in EW is so slick and easy it made the repetitive set up for each page go
EW full version or upgrade IF I want to keep +++ .NET Framework 1- Should I use the EW full version? or the upgrade? if I have FP 2000 installed and want to keep it on my computer along with EW? (I want to continue maintaining my web with FP as I try to learn EW). I just want to make sure that using the EW upgrade is not going to override FP2000. And. . . 2- I don't know any coding have time to learn. *not happy about being left in a lurch by MS discontinuing FP!* I make web sites for various hobby clubs I belong too (all volunteer web design

two outside border layers to expand downward as the page does. I played with their CSS properties by setting their heights = 100% but this did not help. I accomplished this on my current website in FP 2003 with tables and cells and had no problem so I am sure it is a lack of knowledge of layers and CSS. Just started working with EW a day ago.
