Does anyone know if you can add a background to a panel or item drawn in
Blend?? i.e. I made a panel rectangle" and I am wondering if I can set a
background that will tile--not strech.

Is this possible?

Thank you!

Michael

Yes, you can.

a) Add an image to your project using Project -> Add existing item
b) Insert the image into the project
c) Tool -> Make Brush Resource -> Make ImageBrush
d) Draw a Grid panel control
f) In the Brushes category in the property grid, choose the last tab that
list all brush resources
g) Apply the Image brush you just created.
h) Switch to the tab next to the resources tab in the Brushes category
i) Change the Tile mode property to "Tile"

You can now you the Brush transform tool to tile the image.

Is this what you were looking for?

Thanks,

Kozavaro,

When you use the Brush Transform tool, you'll notice that it creates a frame
around the image object that you can move around. Grab the corner of this
frame and drag it to its opposite corner to shrink it. As you do, you'll
notice that the image becomes smaller, but more of the titled images become
visible. Hold the Shift key while you drag the corner to keep your height
and width values synchronized. Try the various Stretch values to get the
appearance you want.

I hope that helps!
